Priessnitz's wrap represents a short-term cold compress that causes local deep blood perfusion to hasten healing processes in the body. It is not recommended to apply wrap to areas infected by inflammation, badly healing wounds or skin diseases (eczema, etc.)

Priessnitz´s wrap is a proven procedure that helps to blood perfusion of the affected area, thereby hasten healing processes in the body and gradually relieve the unpleasant feelings. It is a moist-cold compress.
How to prepare Priessnitz's wrap properly:
- immerse the inner part of wrap band in cold water (the inner part should be properly wrung)
- wring properly
- tread the inner part through the wrap belt
- wrap it around the affected area using velcro
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The main symptoms are tingling, burning hand pain in the affected hand ( in the thumb, index finger, middle finger).
It can results in numbness and figer weakness that is accompanied by relatively severe pain.
Loss of dexterity occurs and the forearm muscles lose strength and weaken gradually.
Symptoms typically start in repose, mostly during the night. A twinge in wrist can be recognized in shoulder joint and head. Swelling and wrist stiffness also occur. Patients can perceive swollen fingers, even if the swelling is not visible. Intensity and inconvenience can vary, however symptoms deteriorate gradually.
Conservative treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome
Initially, patients avoid overloading wrist muscles. It is important to change lifestyle and habits, avoid monotonous movements, do exercise regularly to stretch the wrists. Hand immobilization using splint, brace or removable cast supplies are often prescribed, typically at night. This eliminates most of the adverse effects affecting on the nerve, having better conditions for regeneration. Various medications, of course, are prescribed to ease unpleasant pain, typically anti-inflammatory drugs with analgesic action and muscle spasm release agents.
Cold compress also ease inconvenience, hastening healing process.
